  Constitutional Day of India – 26 November Our college observed Constitution Day (India) on 26th November with great respect and awareness. This day is celebrated to remember the adoption of the Constitution of India , which is the supreme law of our country.           Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas , commemorates the historic moment when the Constitution of India was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949 . It later came into effect on 26 January 1950 , which is celebrated as Republic Day . The Constitution provides the framework for governance and ensures the rights and responsibilities of citizens. During the celebration in our college, students and teachers gathered to reflect on the importance of constitutional values. A special programme was organized where the Preamble to the Constitution of India was read aloud.   Pongal Celebration – 12th January 2026 Pongal Celebration in Our College Our college celebrated Pongal with great enthusiasm and traditional spirit on 12th January 2026 .  The campus was beautifully decorated with colorful kolams , sugarcane, turmeric plants, and traditional pots, creating a vibrant festive atmosphere. The celebration began with a prayer, thanking nature, farmers, and the Sun God for a good harvest Since I am from Kerala, this celebration was entirely new to me. I had heard about Pongal before, but this was the first time I experienced it directly. I felt excited to learn about the importance of thanking nature, the Sun God, and farmers for the harvest. It reminded me of harvest festivals celebrated in Kerala, like Onam, and I could see the similarities in expressing gratitude and unity. Christmas Day Celebration – 24th December 2025 Christmas Celebration in Our College The spirit of Christmas filled our college campus with joy and excitement on 24th December 2025 .   The decorations and pulkoodu (nativity crib) were beautifully arranged from the middle of December itself. The entire campus looked colorful and festive, spreading happiness everywhere. The programme was compered gracefully by Sandhya , who kept the audience engaged throughout the event. The celebration began with a prayer, creating a peaceful and sacred atmosphere. After the prayer, the cultural events started with great enthusiasm. Students performed a lively group dance , followed by melodious Christmas songs that added charm to the celebration.          A special skit depicting the birth of Jesus Christ was performed. FIRST UNIT TEST  I felt a little nervous before the exams, as it was our first internal assessment in B.Ed. .            To evaluate the academic progress of the students, the First Unit Test was held from    24th November 2025  to 28 november    2025 . The tests covered important topics from all core papers and pedagogy subjects. It provided an opportunity for students to identify their strengths and areas that needed improvement.  The examination was organized smoothly and systematically, helping students assess their understanding of the subjects covered during the initial months of the course.   Children’s Day Celebration – November 14 🎉 Children’s Day: Children’s Day is celebrated on November 14 in India to honor the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru . He loved children and believed that they are the future of the nation. This day reminds us of the importance of education, care, and guidance for every child. We celebrated Children’s Day in our college. The event started at 1:30 PM onwards , and it was the first celebration organized by our batch. All the staff members joined us and made the event more special. The programme began with a prayer.  The event was beautifully compered by Sandhya.  We had a wonderful skit performed by Swetha, Sandhya, and Siva Shankari, which was enjoyed by everyone.  Madhumitha and Hema performed a lively dance.   First Day at Jaya B.Ed College, Thirunindravur – October 28 🎓 October 28 was a memorable and special day in my life. It was my first class at Jaya B.Ed College   Our college timing is from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM , and I reached the campus early with excitement and a little nervousness. The atmosphere was fresh, positive, and welcoming. Seeing new friends and respected teachers made the day even more special.  We attended our first class. The faculty members introduced the B.Ed course structure and explained the importance of discipline, dedication, and responsibility as future teachers. We also introduced ourselves and shared why we chose the teaching profession. The session was interactive and motivating. Our teachers encouraged us to improve our communication skills, confidence, and teaching abilities. They reminded us that teachers play a key role in shaping the future of students and society.
